Last week our roving canine reporter, Venice, sat down with her human, The Pet Sage, and asked her a few questions. About the Reporter: Venice (pictured left) is a Feist living in North Charleston. When she is not enjoying long walks, she naps and recieves many belly rubs. Venice: Why you are The Pet Sage? The Pet Sage: It may sound cliche, but I love animals. Ever since I adopted my first dog from the SPCA, a three-legged German Shepard named Doc, I have always had companion animals in life. A life lived with animals as taught me that I must constantly learn about the unique relationships between people and their companions to provide quality in-home pet services for the busy human. V: What experience do you have? The Pet Sage: For the past decade, I worked a mega-high-stress coporate job. Animals helped me relax. I volunteered at my local shelter as a dog walker, kennel cleaner, and kitty snuggler. I also helped my friends and family care for their companions. I took in as many fosters as I could handle and helped them find forever homes. Recently, I seized my chance to make a change, and traded my power suit for a leash and pooper scooper. Currently, I am finishing certification for various speciliazations in Animal Training. I still understand the importance of client satisfaction, but now I've got two kinds of clients to make happy: furry ones and their people. V: What services do you offer? The Pet Sage: Currently, we are focusing on Sitting and Walking. Eventually, we plan to offer a variety of quality, in-home pet services such as Take Out Meals, Training, and Pet Enrichment. Check out our Services and Rates page for more info. V: One last question. Who is your favorite Pet? The Sage: Of course, you are Venice. And Sigourney. And Pitty Pat. And any one else who needs me. |
